projects.Job Summary: We are seeking a VP of Global Sales to lead
our business unit's revenue growth through the development and
implementation of sales strategies. This role requires a
results-driven person with experience in sales management
techniques, major account strategies, and the identification and
management of sales resources to ensure adequate market coverage.
Additionally, the VP, Global Sales will establish and nurture
strategic relationships with major OEMs in key vertical markets,
develop and manage strategic growth initiatives in conjunction with
marketing, and collaborate with Powervar staff to develop an
overall strategic plan.Key Responsibilities:The VP, Global Sales is
specifically responsible and accountable for the business unit's
activities in the following areas:
- Develop and attain an aggressive revenue plan
- Implement key sales strategies
- Implement sales management techniques that maximize
productivity
- Spearhead development and implementation of major account
strategies
- Manage all sales resources -
- Identify and add sales resources, both direct and indirect in
all target segments and appropriate territories to ensure adequate
market reach / coverage
- Establish and nurture strategic and top-level executive
relationships with major OEMs in the key vertical markets
- In conjunction with marketing, develop and manage strategic
growth initiatives
- Manage EMEA sales team
- Work with the Powervar staff to develop an overall corporate
strategic plan In addition to the specific revenue driving
activities described above, the VP, Global Sales will be a key
contributor to a number of business unit and division level
strategic and tactical activities including:
- Strategic planning
- Budgeting
- Organizational design / development and mentoring
- Product planning
- Collection of market intelligence - competition, product and
market
- Voice of the customer (VOC) data collection and
interpretation
- Working closely with the Powervar's service network to ensure
client satisfaction and a "cradle to grave" relationship Minimum
Qualifications:
- A BSEE or BSBA degree from a recognized, fully accredited
college program
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Sales Leader
- Must have a technology centric background that includes
significant customer interaction Desired Qualifications:
- MBA is a plus
- Familiarity with UPS markets, especially in medical,
industrial, and retail segments is a plus
- Professionals who have successfully created sustainable
competitive advantage by tuning channel strategies and attaining
high personal performance will be considered most favorably
- The ability to communicate with engineering, OEMs and
end-users
- Capable of formulating sales strategies that generate
profitable revenue growth
- An inquisitive personality, and desire to meet and work with
people of different business backgrounds
- The ability and desire to travel
