Job Description: Job Description: Un-like most trucking companies, Penske offers a Career We have un-beatable benefits and career paths for every position We have a long term contract with this customer and are looking for professional drivers with a dedication to safe, professional and timely deliveries. Route/Activity - Our drivers are responsible for delivering product to customers. Number of stops vary based on route. All routes within 200 mile radius of home terminal; route deliveries of healthcare supplies to hospitals and medical centers. Many deliveries require driver operation of powered pallet jack and trailer lift gate; training provided. Shift - 40 to 45 hours- overtime pay after 40 hours. Monday thru Friday work week. Start times vary, with most shifts starting from 2pm-5am; some night shifts. Equipment - 40', 45', 48' & 53' dry van trailers, some with lift gate. Compensation - 65K Potenital. Starting rate $24 per hour Stop increases in hourly pay after 6 months and 12 months. Responsibilities: -Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck. -Safe and reliable operation of assigned equipment. -Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. -Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. -Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery. -Safe, Professional, On-Time and Efficient operations for our customer. Job Qualifications: -At least 23 years of age -CDL Class A license required -2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years -3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents -Reliable and customer oriented -Safety oriented -Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job -Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.Physical Requirements: -The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
