Job Description:
Job Description Summer work generally includes the management of
invasive species including pulling, cutting and herbicide use in
various natural areas throughout Lake County and other regions.
This position can be seasonal or year-round. If retained, winter
work involves removing woody invasive species using chainsaws and
brush saws. Spring and Fall seasons involve prescribed burns,
native seeding, and native plant installation. Great candidates
will have an Environmental or Restoration related degree or course
of study and pertinent field work experience. Native and invasive
plant ID skills for the Midwest region, certified Pesticide
Applicator/Operator, and prescribed burn training are huge pluses.
