Come help build cool machines that make cool stuff! #wecanautomatethat! Responsibilities include: Learn fabrication techniques to create new or replacement parts for our in-house custom automation. Set up, adjust, and operate the basic machine tools to perform machining operations. Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, gage pins, height gauges, etc. as required. Coordinate inventory of completed parts for secondary operations, assembly or shipment. Proactive approach to continuous improvement suggestions, including productivity, quality, and shop safety. Document actions by completing production logs. Perform shop housekeeping duties as required. Perform other shop duties as directed, including assembly of components. Desired Experience: High School Diploma or equivalency Basic computer skills. Self-starter with the ability to perform various duties as assigned throughout the shop. Ability to take instruction and direction from experienced machinists and management. Valid drivers license for vendor pickups or deliveries as needed. Physical Demands: Frequent standing Lift or move up to 25 pounds frequently Manual dexterity required for operating shop machinery Compensation: Hourly, based on experience Employee bonus based on company profitability
