Job Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for processing home equity loan requests in preparation for underwriting review.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Analyzes new applications, inputs data in loan origination system and generates initial disclosuresOrganizes and monitors loan files to ensure timely processingPrepares loan files for underwriting and assists in all aspects of loan processing, in addition to general file maintenanceOrders title, credit, and appraisal reportsAssists in preparing files for document imagingPerforms post-closing functions - insures file integrityAssists Loan Officers with loan fulfillmentSubordination requestsManages department reportsSECONDARY FUNCTIONS:Back up to first mortgage processorDisclose on 1st mortgage filesCollect, organize, and prepare supporting documentsOrder appraisal, title, and insuranceWork with MLO to prepare file for underwritingPrepare and submit release of mortgages to county/memberAudit functions, as assignedOther duties as may be assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Certification Preferred: NMLS CertificationExperience Required: One (1) year of real estate processing experienceExperience Preferred: Two (2) years of mortgage processing experience in a financial institutionKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Ability to organize workflow, prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to perform analysis of loan requests, including credit analysis and income computationAbility to perform job functions independentlyAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to verbally communicate effectively with internal and/or external membersAbility to use computers and job-specific technology/software efficientlyMaintains confidentialityPerforms responsibilities with composure, quality and accuracy under stress of deadlines/requirementsTRAVEL: N/A
