Job Description:
As a member of the Revenue Management team, this role owns the
Demand Forecasting as part of the SIOP process. The Demand Planner
will drive the weekly & monthly forecasting process through
interaction and communication with supply chain, sales, marketing,
and finance. Develop and communicate future demand plans that
support supply chain planning processes and financial forecasts and
lead the monthly SIOP Demand Planning meeting. Key liaison with the
Sales team to generate forecasts for assigned product categories
using inputs from all available sources. -Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
Responsible for the demand
forecasting process in terms of accuracy, delivery, and
effectiveness Drives the weekly & monthly forecast consensus
process by engaging the entire cross-functional team resulting in a
short- and long-term consensus demand planCollaborates with key
partners in procurement, production, sales, and finance to obtain
consistent forecast inputs and address input gaps that may
ariseValidation of demand forecast in terms of volume and revenue
by customer and SKU Works with production planning and deployment
to translate consensus forecasts into an operational
forecastEnsures successful customer event execution through
effective planning and leveraging of key customer event
inputsEngagement in the forecasting of new item launches to ensure
successHas a basic understanding of all supply chain processes and
the downstream effects demand planning has on themAids in the
communication flow of changes to forecast and disseminates
information to all stakeholders accordinglyReports on forecast
accuracy and does necessary analysis to determine the root cause of
the error to improve numbers continuouslyIdentifies process
improvements for demand planning processes and toolsTracks and
reconciles weekly/monthly metrics versus established
targetsPrepares and manages monthly SIOP Demand Planning meetings,
including pre-meeting coordination with Sales and follow-up actions
arising from the meeting.Participates in other SIOP meetings
(Supply Meeting, Executive Meeting) as necessarySupports annual
financial planning processPresents findings that drive
understanding, alignment, and informed decision makingSecondary
Functions:
Perform other job-related duties and
responsibilities as may be assignedQualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain,
Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and
at least two years of experience in a similar role Or High School
Diploma/GED and at least five years of experience in a similar
role.Skills/Abilities
Solid experience in
production/inventory/demand planning environmentExperience with any
forecasting application softwareExperience or exposure to S&OP
processes and procedures, customer planning, or supply
planningAnalytical and data-driven decision makingDetail-oriented
emphasizing accuracyStrong interpersonal skills, problem-solving
skills, and the ability to handle multiple demands and competing
priorities Advanced skill in Excel (macros, pivot tables, use of
AVERAGE function, advanced formatting).Excellent verbal and written
communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate
findings to audiences, including peers, Business Partners, and
ExecutivesBe comfortable in a fast-paced growth environment with an
appropriate balance of urgency and qualityDemonstrated ability to
work autonomously and with a team while executing independent
