Tailchasers Barrington Pet Resort is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and reliable receptionist to join our Lake Barrington team! Barrington Pet Resort has been a leader in the pet care industry since 1975. We offer support and thorough training to ensure your success in the role!

Compensation/Shift Structure

• $15.00 + Tips
• Monday - Friday - 6:50a - 12:00p, or, 1:00p - 6:00p
• Saturdays - 7:50a - 4p
• Sundays - CLOSED Double shifts can be discussed for candidates interested in full-time.
  
  Position Overview
  
  Our receptionists have the pleasure of delivering top-tier customer service to our human and furry clients! The position requires a strong ability to multitask. Answering a multi-line phone system, using the reservation program Gingr, answering emails, and documenting pets' personal items are common tasks associated with being a receptionist within Barrington Pet Resort. There is a combination of sitting, moving around, managing dogs on leashes, moving pet items that can be 50 lbs bags of dog food, and sanitation tasks.     • Managing a 3-line phone system
    • Managing email and voicemail inboxes
    • Assisting with receiving & returning pets to their owners
    • Payment processing
    • Office Cleanliness
    • Communication with local veterinary offices
    • Client reservations & profile management
    • In-person engagement with clients visiting the facility Requirements
      • US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
      • Self-starter, self-motivated, successful working independently
      • Strong leader in previous work-environments
      • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
      • Strong foundation with computer functions
      • Extended sitting
      • Able to pass a background check
      • Able to commit to this position for 6 months from the date of hire
      • Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly manner
      • Possess computer skills to handle scheduling
      • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
