Logan's House - Gurnee is looking for an experienced Dog Groomer (3+ years) to join our boutique Dog Day Care. Our ideal candidate is an animal lover who has prior training and experience. You must be comfortable bathing dogs of various breeds and sizes. In addition to bathing, your duties will include nail clipping and grinding, ear cleaning, gland expression, and teeth brushing. We expect the ideal candidate to have the necessary trimming and shearing skills to fulfill client expectations. You will also be expected to provide superior customer service to our pet parents. Duties: * Bathe and dry dogs * Trim or shear animal coats according to owner specifications * Clip or file dog's nails as required * Perform ear cleaning services as required * Brush dogs teeth as required Groomer requirements * Prior grooming experience through an internship or apprenticeship is preferred * Hand shearing and scissoring skills * Comfortable working with various breeds of dogs * Ability to work with dogs that weigh over 60 lbs * Exemplary communication and customer service skills * Patience Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $24 - $28 Hourly Bonus/Commission: Yes
