Position Summary: Events & Volunteer SpecialistIf planning and executing fundraising events, and recruiting and maintaining volunteers are your sweat spots, then we encourage you to apply today! Aspire is looking for a cause-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to serve in a role as our full-time Event & Volunteer Specialist. Use your strong organizational and project management skills to assist in planning and executing all internal events and events planned by Aspire's partners and supporters. This role will also play a large part in maximize volunteer efforts, as well as increase retention and ongoing engagement of volunteers.Position Responsibilities:The following represents the primary position responsibilities, but other related duties necessary to meet the needs of the organization may be assigned.EventsIn partnership with the Director of Marketing & Events, plan and execute all internal special events, including Aspire's annual gala, and events planned by Aspire's partners and supporters. Coordinate all event collateral in compliance with Aspire branding and messaging. Conduct event solicitation, such as reservations, auction donations, etc. Complete data entry as needed and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all information in donor database and event management software; assist database manager with auditing and reconciliation processes as needed. Research and vet potential new internal fundraising events or any new events planned by Aspire partners and supporters. Manage volunteers at Aspire's major fundraising events, including but not limited to Big City Night. Including recruitment, scheduling and day of coordination. VolunteersWith the corporate partnerships team, develop and drive volunteer-related goals, policies, procedures and plans; help evaluate and report results. Assess organizational needs for volunteer service and create initiatives that meet agency-wide needs. Recruit, screen, train, place, schedule and supervise Aspire's volunteer corps. Work together with the corporate partnership team to initiate and cultivate relationships with corporate partners, community-based organizations, etc. Maintain all necessary volunteer records, and, with assistance from the database manager, input all volunteer activity into CRM database. Provide ongoing volunteer communication and recognition.Plan and attend volunteer professional development, volunteer fairs and social activities.Reporting to this Position: None
