Manufacturing Engineering Intern

This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and
work with manufacturing engineers as well as operations staff. The
internship projects/tasks will be critical to the support of the
manufacturing and processing of screws and fasteners in a
fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Support new product & process implementation
Support process improvement & troubleshooting
Support ITW Safety Program initiative
Perform CAD designs & design modifications
Learn about the overall manufacturing processes & daily operation
of a manufacturing facility
Learn about the process new product implementation & debugging
Learn about equipment work instruction research, writing, &
Learn to collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations,
quality, & marketing departments
2D & 3D CAD skills preferred, good communication skills,
inquisitive nature, and an interest in being "hands on".
Mechanical Engineering coursework. Rising Senior is preferred.
Material Science & PLC Programming coursework is a plus.
Critical Thinking & Decision Making: Ability to make logical and
sound decisions and ability to know when to act independently and
when to seek assistance.

This role is in a professional environment with a 50/50 split
between manufacturing plant floor and office desk. - The individual
will work with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers
to learn and research the process issues and solutions. This
collaborative environment has many positive, good natured team
members that are eager to work with and train others. The intern
projects at CCNA are typically a part of the company's key
initiatives with a good deal of notoriety, publicity, and impact to

Physical demands are minimal beyond the ability to spend time on
