$11.00-$13.50 per hour
Performs various custodial and maintenance tasks at assigned
Essential Functions: Perform routine, preventive, and corrective
custodial maintenance of park outbuildings and facilities. Perform
routine department maintenance functions to include but not limited
to general cleanup, garbage removal, and window cleaning. Report
status of assigned jobs. Assist with equipment maintenance, tool
upkeep, and work area housekeeping. Assist in monitoring inventory
of custodial supplies. Maintain communication with customers and
facility staff. Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets. Handle
hazardous chemicals. Answer public inquiries and channel inquiries
to appropriate staff, as necessary. Assist with facility safety
checks. Unlock or secure buildings at appropriate times. Wear
assigned uniform at all times while on duty. Attend pertinent
departmental/park district meetings and in-house training sessions.
Conduct self according to the policies and procedures as
established by the park district. Participate in park district
Safety and Training Program to ensure that work performed, and
services provided are implemented in a safe manner.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of general custodial
Knowledge: Custodial maintenance operations. Use of custodial
maintenance equipment. Snow removal operations and use of
equipment. Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable.
Valid Drivers License required.
Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Hours may vary depending
