Position Summary:

The Basic Biomedical Sciences Department for the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science welcomes applications for a full-time Instructor position. Service activities vary and may include internal and external contributions through:

* Committees Contributions to the profession Recruitment Direct patient care

Scholarly activities and/or clinical activities are negotiated and determined at the department level and are primarily based upon the faculty track.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific tasks may include but are not limited to:

* Develop and deliver effective Anatomy and/or Physiology lectures. * Provide expertise as a laboratory instructor for both clinical anatomy and lower extremity anatomy. * Provide student instruction outside of the "classroom". * Be a helpful and effective mentor to students. * Stay current in the scholarship of their discipline and teaching methodology. * Participate in curriculum development, and assessment. * Provide Service to the College, University, and Profession. * Maintain a collegial relationship with all faculty and staff of the College and University. * Participate in faculty development activities sponsored by the department/College, and University. * Participate in research directly or in a supportive role. * Other duties as assigned.

The allocation of the faculty member's efforts in each of these areas will be documented by the faculty member's workload model with the expectation that the total will generate a 100% effort.

Required Education & Experience:

* A PhD. in Anatomy and Cell Biology degree * Prior Teaching experience in Clinical Anatomy * An official transcript for the highest degree earned and also the highest clinical degree earned, if different and relevant to the position will be required * Must achieve a background check clearance

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability * Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and basic science faculty * Knowledge of educational theory and methodology

Typical Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

* Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. The individual must be able to participate in minimal lifting, bending, standing and walking. The typical working conditions are climate controlled environments such as office, large classroom, small group, and interpersonal interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
