Who We Are:
Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly
17,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located
halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the
shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning
center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high
school program divided between two 9 - 12th grade campuses. The
District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Diverse Learner Teacher will be directly responsible to the
Child Find Coordinator or her designee, will complete evaulations
and wirte IEPs for the Child Find Summer Team.
Serve as Special Education Representative for IEP/Evaluation
team; write IEP goals based on evaluation data; share descriptions
of special education programs and classes in the Kindergarten
program at IEP meetings; present IEP goals at IEP meetings; make
recommendations for appropriate classrooms; complete all
appropriate IEP paperwork.
Qualifications: Must have a valid Illinois Professional
Salary: $35.00 per hour
Additional Information: Candidates will work during the summer
on designated days (TBD) to complete summer evaluations. The
Special Education Teacher for Child find Summer Evaluation Team
will attend the Professional Development on June 10th or 11th,
2021. and will attend and evaluate IEP meetings June 14th- July 16,
2021, Monday through Friday.
