If so, this position could very well be for you: Position: Law Enforcement Records Supervisor Location: Waukegan, IL Salary: $52,144 - $59,531 Job Summary:The Lake County Sheriffs Office is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of a Law Enforcement Records Supervisor. The Candidate will manage record clerks assigned to receive, process, maintaining and retrieving of police files and records. The applicant will also be responsible for coordinating work assignments in a fast-paced office environment and will have daily contact with all levels of law enforcement personnel, other agencies and the general public. This candidate will be able to utilize discretion and independent judgment in applying rules, policies and procedures to work and/or case situations. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning. In order to be successful in this role you should have a High School diploma or GED, and two years of supervisory experience. Individuals should have a working knowledge of Record Management System (RMS) and the State of Illinois Records Disposal process along with experience in police record management such as Uniform Crime Reporting and knowledge and understanding the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Must possess the ability to effectively problem solve and have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere.
