Our location inNorth Chicago(Lake County, IL)currently has an opportunity for anInventory Control Coordinator.WHAT YOULL DOPrimary Job FunctionProcess daily activities and audit inventory on internal warehouse systems such as DFCS/SAP/ADMS to keep systems in balance, investigate inventory discrepancies during daily order processing. + Works with personnel in the assigned work area to complete tasks accurately to ensure all work is processed in a timely and efficient manner. + Regulates flow of work through a work area and works with coordinator and supervisor to communicate training, special handling, documentation needs; etc. + Resolve problems identified and/or notify appropriate personnel as needed. + Compile, analyze and report various key indicators for Distribution operations. + Assist in training activities of employees. + Ability to function at multiple sites. + Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. + Assist supervisor/manager with work assignments, movement of personnel and ensuring customer orders are processed appropriately to meet transportation regulations, carrier deadlines and customer expectations. + Ensure manufacturing needs are met in a timely manner. + Coordinate training and assist with HR issues including performance appraisals, development plans and corrective counseling. + Work with logistics and customer service to ensure orders are shipped and received in a timely matter. + Ability to asses and lead process improvement projects. + Familiarization of multiple warehouse functions such as Receiving, Distribution, Export.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRINGQualifications+ Bachelors degree or 2-3 years equivalent work experience in Logistics, Transportation, Distribution or Warehousing or planning. 3 - 5 years relevant experience preferred. + Knowledge of SAP, ADMS and of DFCS preferred + Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations as well as IATA and DOT regulations + Ability to Handle multiple tasks under pressure + Must be able to read and understand English, perform math calculations, interpret data from tracking and trending metrics analysis. + Knowledge of warehousing/shipping transportation/logistics/planning needed to understand work flows, critical needs and to provide adequate direction to floor personnel. + Individual must possess an in department knowledge of warehousing/distribution functions which include receiving, storage and retrieval of commodities. + Good written and oral communication skills. + Good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to analyze and problem solve to resolve floor issues in a timely manner. + Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. + Good working knowledge of quality systems and metrics. + Good working knowledge of AMM system and warehouse floor control systems.Additional Key Job Information -+ This position is based in North Chicago (Abbott Park), IL. Relocation assistance is not authorized. + The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday.
