Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd shift, (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) Pay Range:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour including shift premium $23.00 - $29.90
per hour. (based on experience and qualifications) Since 1923,

Position Summary The Large Batch Maker performs all operations
required to check, assemble, mix, blend, and grind ingredients to
create an accurate batch of product to meet customer’s
specifications. The Large Batch Operator may also work with the
Quality Control and Filling departments. The successful candidates
will have an acceptable score on the math test. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities Accurately follow batch ticket instructions to
make specific product. Assemble accurate measurements of
ingredients through use of scales and gather other equipment and
ingredients as needed to make specific batch. Complete proper
documentation (such as batch tickets) correctly and accurately.
Enter data into computer. Complete “let down” process, clean up and
properly store equipment used. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping
procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and
regulations. Clean up equipment and properly store equipment. As
part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved
with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how
to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the
Environmental and Safety department or the department supervisor.
Annual training of the same will be performed by the EHS
department. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements Preferred education level: a high school
diploma and/or GED. It is desirable for the employee to possess
additional specific related training. Preferred experience level:
basic knowledge of paint formulation, mixing procedures, etc., and
three to twelve months of related manufacturing experience with the
ability to use several types of related equipment. Skills and
Abilities Excellent communication skills. Computer experience is
strongly preferred. Willing to work in a team environment and
contribute to group goals. Ability to receive and provide
instructions in a positive manner. Ability to operate a forklift
with forklift driving certification is strongly preferred and the
ability to use a pallet jack. Must be detail oriented with the
ability to multi-task. Clean work habits and some skill in handling
large volumes of liquid and raw materials. Basic math skills and
the ability to convert various measurements (i.e., gallons to
quarts, pints to gallons, etc.) required. The ability to use the
following tools preferred: grind plate, calculator, computer, pipe
wrench, large and small scrapers, Allen wrench, box knife, bung
wrench, manual drum truck, cowels, sand mill, air mixer,
screwdriver, and pliers. Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Physical Demands Regularly required to communicate verbally and
audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting. Frequently
required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area. Regular
use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control
objects, tools, or equipment. Required to sit, balance, stoop, and
occasionally reach above shoulder level. Occasional operation of
machinery using foot controls May be required to climb, balance,
and reach overhead as part of job duties. Ability to regularly lift
and/or move up to 65 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab
coats are required in production areas. Respirators and ear plugs
are required for specific production processes. Benefits
