$28 hourly Responsibilities: Prepare Legal Evidence for Tax
Appeals: Most of your time will be spent creating evidence packages
for residential appeals. You’ll follow established procedures to
ensure accuracy and meet deadlines. While most work is in Cook
County, you’ll also assist with appeals in collar counties and at
the state level (PTAB). Build Relationships with our Residential
Clients: You will help clients understand the tax appeal process,
what our strategy is for their home, and guide them on how they can
support a successful outcome. Develop Assessing Official
Relationships: Occasionally, you’ll negotiate settlements in collar
counties. Building professional relationships with local township
assessors is key to success. Coordinate Between Clients,
Appraisers, and Internal Team: Appraisals are often critical and
time-sensitive. You’ll ensure all parties understand benefits,
costs, and timelines. Other administrative responsibilities: You
may also be asked to support the administrative and legal teams as
necessary by assisting with client correspondence, follow-ups, and
other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: Applicants
must live in or be within commuting distance of Des Plaines and be
authorized to work in the US to be considered for the position.
Exceptional attention to detail; you take clear, concise notes.
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Strong
communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to work under
pressure and manage a large workload within established guidelines.
Skilled at escalating issues and driving resolution. Dependable
team player with a collaborative mindset. 2–5 years of experience
as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in legal administrative
support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn
new technology platforms. Experience with HubSpot and Microsoft
