requisition id R-14674Your RoleWe are seeking a Technical Designer
to join an exciting, large-scale, mixed-use (including: commercial,
residential, cultural, transit, retail, entertainment, hospitality,
education, etc.) international project, offering the opportunity to
be an integrated and active member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary
team, working alongside multiple Gensler offices. This position
will be based in our Chicago office.What You Will Do
- Develop all phases of projects, including programming,
consulting, strategy, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic
design, design development, construction documents and
production.
- Manage client, team and project coordination, including full
documentation preparation and discipline coordination with
structural, MEP, VT, lighting, AV, landscape and civil
consultants.
- Support daily communication between project team, clients,
vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting
officials.
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions, including
design resiliency expertise to resolve complex technical and design
challenges.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings,
project manuals and specifications.
- Conduct and document site visits, prepare field reports,
process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during
construction.Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, Master's degree
preferred.
- 6+ years of related project experience, with a track record of
successfully leading projects of varying scale.
- LEED accreditation a plus.
- International design experience a plus.
- Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of
project types or multiple projects in various stages of
development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management
skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite and MS
Office.The base salary range is $73,000 to $85,000, commensurate
with relevant experience. In addition, standard benefits will be
offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.Life at
