Therapy: We work with children with communication disorders, fine
and gross motor challenges, emotional disorders, language delays,
sensory integration issues, autism spectrum disorders, feeding
disorders, and social skill challenges. We believe collaboration

specific challenges. Lumiere Children's Therapy is looking for an
exceptional patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and will be
willing to supervise incoming Physical Therapists and PTA's. This
position will include private client, preschool, and working within
private schools. Job Summary: Must have a PT License Physical
therapists will partner with new and ongoing patients in our
facility to create a Plan of Treatment consisting of the
appropriate exercises, procedures and techniques required to
promote effective, safe recovery. They will be responsible for
coordinating with any healthcare professionals that are working
with their patients and referring patients to specialists when
appropriate. Supervisory Responsibilities: May mentor a physical
therapy new graduate as a mentor, or supervise a physical therapy
assistant. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop a Plan of Care for each
patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short
and long term goals, any multidisciplinary collaboration, and
required patient and caregiver involvement. Implement Plan of Care
on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan
according to patient progress. Document patient progress according
to approved medical documentation and facility documentation
procedures, within 48 hours after seeing patient. Evaluate
mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while
setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient
abilities and realistically attainable. Report patient progress to
patient, patient caregivers and loved ones, facility staff and
healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of
patients. Develop a plan for patients following completion of their
Plan of care with appropriate home exercise program as deemed
necessary, upon discharge Maintain professional and technical
knowledge through attending educational workshops and continuing
education; reviewing professional publications, and participating
in journal club. Assist other facility staff members as needed to
provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment
for rehabilitation and physical therapy. May perform other related
duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience assisting
and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and physical
therapy assistants. Knowledge of responsible use of facility
equipment, best practices for equipment use and preventative
maintenance procedures. Experience with recommending assistive
equipment, shaping helmets, orthotics/prosthetics to patients as
needed and assist with ordering as needed Experience with a wide
range of patient age groups and injuries. Knowledge of Occupational
Therapy and an understanding of when these techniques can benefit
patients. A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT
and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a
responsible, safe way. Creativity with physical therapy
interventions Education and Experience: At least 2 years of
experience proving physical therapy to patients in a fully equipped
PT facility in pediatrics BS or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
from physical therapy program approved by the American Physical
Therapy Associated Current Physical Therapy license for state of
operation Current CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with
AED) Physical Requirements: Ability to work sitting down in front
of a computer for extended hours every day Ability to lift up to 15
pounds Benefits CPR certification (pre-approved online course, if
