Must-Have: Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency
Department is required. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements include
every other weekend. Must float to other units as needed. Licensure
issues will not prevent submission. Description: The position is
for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The patient-to-nurse
ratio is 1:4. Candidates must have experience working in a Level I
Trauma Emergency Department. Certifications in TNCC and CPI are
strongly preferred. The daily patient volume is approximately 120
visits. The unit cares for patients of all ages, including
neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various service
departments. Staffing includes a mix of both experienced and newly
licensed nurses. The successful candidate will be capable of
handling a wide range of emergency conditions and procedures.
Diverse patient diagnoses will be encountered, requiring a broad
skill set in emergency nursing care. Candidates must demonstrate
effective management of emergencies and be adept in critical care
skills. Experience with charting in Epic is preferred. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills are essential for
