Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: Ongoing - Up to 12.00 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Per Diem /n/t - /n/t Triage & assessment: Rapidly evaluate incoming patients, prioritize acuity, and initiate appropriate care pathways. /n/t /n/t - /n/t Emergency interventions: Administer medications (including IV sedatives, vasopressors), start/monitor IV lines, perform phlebotomy, blood transfusions, and manage critical respiratory interventions (intubation, ventilator support). /n/t /n/t - /n/t Life-saving procedures: Provide CPR, ACLS/PALS measures, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube care, splinting, and emergency wound/tissue care . /n/t /n/t - /n/t Care coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans, assist in diagnostics (e.g., lab, imaging), and facilitate admissions or discharges. /n/t /n/t - /n/t Documentation & communication: Record assessments and interventions using EMR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and maintain clarity with patients, families, and care teams. /n/t /n/t - /n/t Patient education: Provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance . /n/t /n/t - /n/t Emergency preparedness: Participate in drills and uphold infection control/ isolation protocols. /n/t /n /n/n/n?
