Pepper Energy, a vertically integrated EPC business, is looking for a Procurement Manager to support the growth of the business. The primary responsibility will be to administer major supply agreements including but not limited to the following: solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, solar inverters, mechanical racking systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) equipment. This role will also include coordinating logistics such as receiving and deliveries, invoicing, and tracking of warranty claims.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategy for the Major Equipment and Balance of Systems components associated with our Solar and Renewable Energy projects
• Monitor and track industry trends and market conditions to create forecasts and make purchasing recommendations in support of our business
• Own and manage our firm's commodity strategy while managing our international/domestic supplier relationships
• Analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing total cost of ownership (TCO) methods which will include replacement cost of parts, components, etc. Make award recommendation to operations teams
• Coordinate shipment tracking and delivery schedules with Pepper project team members, OEM Vendors, Carriers, and Subcontractors
• Track, monitor, and control inventory for renewable energy projects and programs
• Manage materials receiving and rejection documentation
• Create and issue rejection and warranty notices
  Qualifications
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Bluebeam
  • Two or more years of experience with Solar supply chain management, or similar renewable energy experience in a related field such as procurement or strategic sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of the legal aspects of supplier agreements.
  • Ability to manage and administer multiple high value, high risk material and equipment supply contracts simultaneously while fulfilling project stakeholder contractual requirements and maintaining projects schedules
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest - up to 25%
