Primary Purpose

ENGINEERING MANAGER

AMTRACO is a global holding company headquartered in Franksville, WI, that manages the shared services of HR, IT, and Finance for its operating units. The four distinct operating units owned by AMTRACO are:

EPSI - a distribution company servicing the surface finishing industry with presence in all major global markets.

STM - a manufacturer of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes

FAST - a distributor of tapes and related products for the framing, architectural, signs, and trophy markets.

SBM - a commercial real estate company that buys, develops, and leases commercial real estate.

Primary Purpose

EPSI is looking for trustworthy and proactive engineering manager with 5 years of engineering experience and proven leadership skills. This position requires working on many projects at the same time, the ability to build and manage a diverse team of engineers working on site and remotely, formulating and executing strategies, and managing coordination with other managers. Their responsibilities include managing the development of new designs and products, proposing budgets for projects, and overseeing all the activities related to each project. Emphasis on growing and promoting and increasing revenue of custom products.

To be successful as the engineering manager, you should have exceptional foresight, great communication skills, working knowledge of rubber, plastics, metal fabrication, and an aptitude for managing risk. Ideally, candidates will have proof of their supervisory and technical skills, and an appreciation for the pace of the industry.

Position Responsibilities

  • Evaluating opportunities and prioritizing design and products to maximize sales and customer satisfaction
  • Oversees project logistics and resource allocation. and engages in cost management strategies
  • Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create new products
  • Supervising the work of multiple team members determining the need for training and talent development
  • Develops, determines and implements policies, procedures and programs
  • Collaborates with other team leaders and departments
  • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
  • Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications
    justify expenditures
  • Recommends budgets to management, including staff use, technology, facility and equipment
    requirements or improvements
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining our custom products program, and services to
    customers and prospective customers. Confer with customers and engineers to assess their custom
    product need
  • Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation
    of funds or allocates funds from the department budget

  • Education requirements:
  • Bachelors in Engineering from an accredited college or university or
  • 4-5 years of experience in related Engineering field with 2-3 years of Management experience
