  This position works out of our Lake County, IL or Chicago, IL location for the Business Technology Services group. The Director, Cybersecurity Risk is responsible for working with leadership to establish and maintain the organization's cybersecurity risk management program. The individual will work with leaders across the organization to understand both internal and external cybersecurity risks and develop risk response plans. -What You'll Work On
  • Contribute to and support the vision of cybersecurity leadership, driving initiatives with regards to people, process, technology, and data.
  • Partner with corporate and business functions (e.g. Legal, Regulatory) to establish and maintain policies, frameworks, and procedures designed to identify and address current and emerging cyber threats and requirements.
  • Conduct both annual and on-demand risk assessments with corresponding analysis and recommendations.
  • Contribute to evolution of metrics to support the measurement of both inherent and residual risk, providing updates to various levels of corporate and division leadership.
  • Effectively communicate risk-related concepts to stakeholders, with the ability to simplify the complex.
  • Understand the voice of customer to align efforts to business needs.
  • Participate as a product champion for cyber risk in the Governance, Risk and Compliance technology platform.
  • Attract and retain talent, and ensure staff development (leadership, cross-functional, technical, global perspective). Promote and foster diversity.
  • Manage an operating budget and project spend with financial discipline; establish and maintain a resource model that can flex as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships necessary for the successful execution of the cybersecurity risk management program; liaise with other risk management professionals and risk councils.
  • Participate in related industry groups and trade associations focused on the development of cyber risk management standards and frameworksRequired Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree in Information Security, Risk or IT Management, Computer Science, or related field
    • Minimum10 years of IT career experience in a similar or closely related field
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management programs and their interactions with internal and external stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications
      • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CPP or CFE are preferred
      • Knowledge of national and international regulatory and compliance frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, EU DPD, HIPAA/HITECH
