Director, Product Development - Skilled Services This national role leads the development and support of BrightStar Care's Skilled services line of business focused on providing skilled home health services for non-Medicare payers. The Operations Director serves as the product manager responsible for partnering with the clinical, operations and technology teams to define the skilled services business model used by BrightStar's 330 independently owned and operated agencies to deliver a consistently superior customer experience. RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work with senior leadership to translate company strategy and objectives into a vision of the BrightStar Care skilled services offering and then serve as the business stakeholder on change initiatives to implement the vision.
  • Define and maintain BrightStar's operational processes, policies and best practices for intake, care delivery and revenue cycle management as key resources for our national network of agencies
  • Simplify, Streamline and Improve the BrightStar Care model; provide the glue that keeps cross-functional teams working effective together to deliver the model consistently to our franchisees to drive business results.
  • Represent BrightStar externally within the home health/post-acute care industry and keep BrightStar's strategy aligned with industry trends, opportunities and regulatory changes.
  • Partner with the National Accounts team, Sales Team and Operations to develop programs that are market focused and drive revenue and expanded commercial opportunities
  • Define business process necessary to complete business requirements for technology initiatives in the BTG roadmap so that technology solutions align to process, have franchisee buy in and are suitable for use by BrightStar locations
  • Lead and project manage process improvement initiatives, technology pilots and roll out of future state processes to existing franchisees, with effective change management and measurable metrics to drive adoption and ensure consistency across BrightStar locations POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    • 3-7 years' experience in non-Medicare skilled Home Healthcare industry with leadership responsibilities over intake, administration, care delivery or revenue cycle management
    • Knowledge of medical billing practices and experience working with commercial payers
    • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills to communicate with stakeholder communities, inform key decision makers and influence the user community to drive change
    • Understanding of healthcare information technology such as EMR and Revenue Cycle Management
    • Experience with process definition, process improvement and reengineering. Formal training in LEAN, Six Sigma or similar methodology, preferred but not required
    • Bachelor's degree in business, technology or healthcare management; MBA or Masters degree preferred but not required TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
      Up to 25% or as directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences.
