The position of Product Engineer I is responsible for designing and developing a product/product family, ensuring that production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel. The Product Engineer reviews and inspects finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Ensure that the sales team has drawings, models, performance information and technical support to aid in product sales. - Provide performance prediction analysis. - Provide written quotes. - Coordinate and assist with new product designs. Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to choose materials and ensure products are designed for manufacturability. - Assist with key accounts with EQP related testing. - Support and manage special projects as assigned. - Perform calculations to solve engineering issues and uses sound judgement/methodology in decision making. - Utilize 3D modeling and CAM, FEA, and CFD software proficiently to define product. - Customer support and public relations activities with key accounts; including interacting with customers to deliver complex information in an easily understood manner. - Provide clear, timely, and accurate written correspondence regarding customer interactions, including follow-ups and actionable items. Maintain organized documentation to ensure all customer needs and next steps are properly tracked and addressed. - Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, employees, and managers. - Perform other related tasks as assigned.
