Job Description:

Position Title: Molding Process Technician Wage: $25-$30/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Molding Process Technician for a company in Waterford, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Molding Process Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow daily production schedules and assigned priority rankings - Perform accurate setup of injection molds, end-of-arm tooling, robots, grinders, and related equipment - Troubleshoot molding machines and adjust processes to bring parts into specification for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, and quality - Process a variety of materials, including but not limited to ABS, PC, PP, and Noryl - Measure and visually inspect molded products for surface and dimensional defects using precision measuring instruments - Enter production data into the ERP system, including machine downtime, scrap, and maintenance information - Initiate and submit maintenance work orders for equipment and molds as needed - Contribute daily toward achieving departmental efficiency targets and minimizing scrap rates - Verify presses are running at standard cycle times and report any variances - Maintain organization, cleanliness, and a safe work environment at all times - Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities related to molds, presses, changeovers, and processes - Communicate issues and concerns to the supervisor promptly as they arise - Complete all assigned reports and required documentation accurately and on time Molding Process Technician Requirements: - 3-5 years of injection mold setting experience - 1-2 years of material handling experience - 3-5 years of process startup experience - 3-5 years of process troubleshooting experience - Strong interpersonal, decision-making, time management, and basic math skills - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Effective communication skills with colleagues, associates, and management - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Basic computer proficiency, along with solid math and reading comprehension skills - Ability to work safely on a production floor QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
