Herrmann Ultrasonics, a global leader in ultrasonic welding technology, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. We develop and manufacture sophisticated machines and systems that serve a variety of industries including automotive, medical, and packaging. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and optimizing our ultrasonic welding systems to meet the evolving demands of our diverse clientele. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic environment focused on technological advancement and sustainability. Design and develop new mechanical systems for ultrasonic welding applications, including prototyping and testing Evaluate the mechanical systems in existing equipment, recommending modifications to improve efficiency and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff to integrate systems and streamline processes Prepare detailed equipment specifications and assist in the preparation of bid documents and contracts for the procurement of necessary hardware Conduct simulations and testing scenarios to verify mechanical integrity and adherence to compliance with industry standards Manage project timelines and documentation ensuring alignment with company goals and adherence with regulatory standards Proficient in CAD and other engineering design software Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes Excellent analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail Knowledge of automation, robotics, and other advanced manufacturing technologies Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) license is considered an asset Certification in Project Management and/or Lean Manufacturing is beneficial
