Summary
Ensure all Suppliers and the materials they provide are in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Work with team to qualify first time suppliers as required and maintain ongoing supplier approval.
  
  
• 
  Visit suppliers to analyze supplier performance standards and processes both in-house on supplier premises as required and support management of the approved supplier list.
  
  
• 
  Help define and flow down Supplier Quality Requirements to suppliers and ensure flow down requirements are met upon receipt of products.
  
  
• 
  Participate in Material Review Board and manage supplier action items for product improvements.
  
  
• 
  Manage regular supplier monitoring and review meetings.
  
  
• 
  Manage company and supplier quality relations, to include but not limited to:
  
  
• 
  Oversee and participate in the development and initiation of inspection, testing and evaluation techniques for incoming goods.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate inspection techniques and recommend changes as needed.
  
  
• 
  Work with Production, Quality Assurance, Materials and other departments to define quality standards and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Work with Quality Engineers to ensure that supplier discrepant material is handled in a timely manner.
  
  
• 
  Work with vendors to supply compliance documentation as needed (such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, Control Plans and Inspection plans).
  
  
• 
  Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding supplier significant changes.
  
  
• 
  Control nonconforming material in accordance with procedures.
  
  
• 
  Support internal audit and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  
• 
  Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to travel locally and nationally to supplier sites.
  
  
• 
  Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements.
  
  
•

  Working knowledge of ISO/9001/14000/13485, AS9100 processes and FAA Requirements.

  Qualifications
  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  Required:

  • 
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of quality experience.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with Dock-to-Stock Programs and Supplier Improvement Programs.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with special processes and/or electronic assemblies.
    
    
  • 
    MRB, supplier performance, supplier corrective actions experience.
    
    
  • 
    Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 14001.
