Job Description Job Description Robert Half is looking for a
Staff Accountant for a client in the western suburbs. This role
involves managing financial records, preparing accurate statements,
and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The
ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of accounting
principles and strong analytical skills to support the
organization’s financial operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare
and deliver timely and accurate financial statements in accordance
with established schedules. • Record and monitor all monthly
balance sheet and income statement activities. • Conduct thorough
research and analysis of financial transactions to summarize and
report on financial status. • Review and interpret general ledger
activities to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Collaborate with
various departments, such as Asset Management and Finance, to
address discrepancies and recommend system improvements. • Assist
external auditors during the year-end audit process by providing
necessary documentation and information. • Support special
accounting projects as directed by management. • Maintain adherence
to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. •
Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions and
responsibilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an
accredited four-year college or university. • Minimum of 3 years of
detail-oriented accounting experience, preferably within a real
estate environment. • Proficiency in performing journal entries and
managing general ledger activities. • Strong knowledge of month-end
close processes. • Experience working with Yardi accounting
software is a plus. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including
data analysis and reporting. • Excellent problem-solving and
analytical abilities. • Strong attention to detail and
organizational skills. This position offers a salary range of
$70,000-$80,000 and comes with a full benefit package including:
